About Us We have been providing services to university students and to business world since 1989. The ability of understanding the needs of our students let us guaranteeing services to the universities of Regione Campania time after time and lately to Italian and foreigner universities. We cooperate with Ceicc Comune di Napoli and with Regione Campania too. Our service is attested by the National LLP Erasmus Agency. Mission We deal with the welcome, the assistance and the accommodation searching of the European students who joined the LLP Erasmus Programme and who decided to choose Naples and the University of Naples Federico II, the University L’Orientale and the Department of Engineering of Parthenope University as the aim of their period of study. Moreover, we are the exclusive agent of the Department of Engineering of Parthenope University. We cooperate with Regione Campania to welcome Chinese students who joined programmes of mobility and education. Over time, we matched the welcome and the accommodation searching with a wide useful range of services for the international guests, like the opening of a bank account, the travel card, medical care and legal aid, creating a card of services which can be consulted on our website. We arrange Italian courses for foreigner students, meetings, package holiday, trips and sport competitions.
Projects in progress The Agenzia Ministeriale Nazionale Erasmus Italia promotes and invites the national universities to constitute Consortia Placements with associations, secondary schools, firms, companies, foundations to increase and improve the assistance and the welcome of all the international guests in Italy. On the 18th and 19th of February 2008 the National Erasmus Agency invited our association Erasmus Point Naples O.N.L.U.S. to Rome as a safe partner for the Consortia Placements. After the meeting, the Consortium “Mediterraneo Job”, created by our association, was introduced in order to promote Naples as the Educational Center of Italian Language of South of Italy, to increase the stream of the international students towards our Regione Campania, besides supporting stages and apprenticeships for the students who joined the LLP Erasmus Programme. The Consortium was approved by the Agenzia Ministeriale Nazionale Erasmus Italia. Our Onlus is the head of the Consortium Mediterraneo Job, which is supported by the University L’Orientale, Confcommercio (with 7.000 firms widespread present at the local level), U.R.A.C. ( Union of the Craftsmen and Traders, with 1.300 firms), Ceicc (Cultural Centre of the Comune di Napoli), Co.na.ga. Confidi (Trust Fund for Firms and tax breaks).
Tourist and sport activities We arrange the Universiadi, a wide range of sport competitions for the students belonging to the different universities of Naples, in partnership with Assouniversiade.eu and under the sponsorship of Comune di Napoli. Every year our soccer Futsal interuniversity tournament for boys and girls has a great success. Fifty teams join the tournament. Moreover, we organize exclusive tours in the best local historic and cultural sites, and we arrange specific package holiday, if required. Recently we set a specific tour for the Department of Geology of Edinburgh University in the area they were studying.
Awards On the 16th of July 2006 the National Agency Socrates – MIUR invited us to Rome to show the result of our job during the National Erasmus Day, in cooperation with the Office of International Programmes University of Naples Federico II. During that event, Dr. Clara Grano appreciated our job and gave us an special mention as “Best Practise 2006” for the “Welcome to Naples” Programme, as the best service of welcome amongst Italian universities. Erasmus Point Naples is on the website of University of Naples Federico II, of University L’Orientale, of the Department of Engineering of Parthenope University and the website of LLP Erasmus Programme Agency. Our activities are supported by Comune di Napoli. We strongly believe a good cooperation between public and private organizations could motivate that wonderful movement of European youth who will have to be more and more united in diversity.
